The ICT Coalition for Children Online was set up to develop the “ICT Principles for the Safer Use of Connected Devices and Online Services by Children and Young People in the EU” launched in January 2012.
The ICT Principles were drafted with the aim of being sufficiently broad to deal with a fast-moving context, but ICT Coalition members recognise the need to continually monitor trends and the possible challenges posed by the evolution of technology. In 2015, we therefore commissioned an independent assessment of the emerging trends and evolutions in the areas covered by the services and products of members of the ICT Coalition.
